👉 स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर रांची के ऐतिहासिक मोरहाबादी मैदान में राज्यपाल संतोष कुमार गंगवार ध्वजारोहण करेंगे।

👉 मुख्यमंत्री हेमंत सोरेन अपने पिता और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री शिबू सोरेन के निधन के बाद श्राद्धकर्म में व्यस्त हैं।

2) विश्व हाथी दिवस – 12 अगस्त

👉 दलमा जंगल में हाथियों की संख्या घट रही है।

👉 कारण – प्राकृतिक आवास का नुकसान, मानव-हाथी संघर्ष, अवैध शिकार।

English:

👉 The number of elephants in Dalma forest is decreasing.

👉 Reasons – loss of natural habitat, human-elephant conflict, poaching.

🇮🇳 मुख्य कारण (Key Reasons):

प्राकृतिक आवास का नुकसान – खनन, शहरीकरण, वनों की कटाई → भोजन-पानी की कमी → हाथियों का पलायन।

मानव-हाथी संघर्ष – फसल नुकसान व बस्तियों में प्रवेश → हाथियों की हत्या या चोट, मानव बस्तियों में खतरा।

अवैध शिकार – विशेषकर हाथी दांत की तस्करी।

English:

Loss of habitat – Mining, urbanization, deforestation → shortage of food/water → migration towards human areas.

Human-elephant conflict – Crop damage & entering settlements → elephants killed/injured, humans at risk.

Poaching – For body parts, especially ivory.

वर्तमान स्थिति (Current Status):

👉 दलमा में संख्या 15 वर्षों में 150 से घटकर 40–45 रह गई।

👉 अन्य रिपोर्ट – 89; ग्रामीण कहते हैं पिछले 2 वर्षों से कोई हाथी नहीं देखा।

👉 हर साल ~60,000 पर्यटक आते हैं, सुविधाएँ बढ़ाई जा रही हैं।

6) मंडल डैम और पीटीआर (Palamu Tiger Reserve)

👉 बेतला नेशनल पार्क, पीटीआर हाथियों का बड़ा बसेरा (~250 हाथी = झारखंड का 40%)।

👉 मंडल डैम बनने पर हाथियों का पुनर्वास होगा और जल समस्या दूर होगी।

👉 पीटीआर क्षेत्र बांस से भरपूर है; हाथियों का मुख्य भोजन।
